1. We operate sustainably and with environmental awareness!

The Pasing Arcades are powered by 100 percent green electricity and operate sustainably and in an environmentally conscious manner through rainwater infiltration and solar collectors.

Further concrete examples and figures:

• Thanks to dry urinals, we save up to 200,000 liters of water per year.
• The cleaning staff only use environmentally friendly products in the toilets; for example, the paper towels in the toilets are made from recycled paper.
• There are several recycling areas in the center. You can drop off various items for recycling at reception and at selected shops (e.g., batteries, light bulbs, etc.).

250,000 protected bees live on our roofs!

Since the beginning of 2018, 250,000 protected honeybees have called the roofs of the center home.

Why?

Bees form the basis of the food chain for humans and animals!

Eighty percent of all plants and a third of our food depend on cross-pollination by bees. However, bees today rely on our support, as climate change, invasive pests, and increasingly strong pesticides threaten these insects.

Our bees are sponsored bees of the organization nearBees.

3. Environmentally conscious parking!

We support environmentally conscious driving:

• We have 6 charging stations for electric cars, 4 of which are for Tesla in our underground garage!
• We provide a charging station for e-bikes as well as several bicycle parking spaces, some of which are even covered, for our customers!

4. Actions of the center management:

Rama Dama – 24.10.2018

“We’re cleaning up!” – a community cleanup campaign was also launched by us. On October 24, 2018, our center management team, together with colleagues from the Riem Arcaden shopping center, cleaned up Pasing City Park. Following this fantastic event, we also donated five park benches to the park.

Earth Hour – March 24, 2018

Every year, millions of people worldwide switch off their lights for one hour as part of the Earth Hour initiative, sending a clear message for climate protection. Since the responsible use of resources is also very important to us, we too switched off our facade lighting for one hour on March 24, 2018, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
